In Loving Memory: Blue
Team Tanzie, our hearts are heavy as we share some incredibly sad news. On April 24, we said a final goodbye to a very special soul. Blue passed away after an extremely short and unexpected battle with an aggressive form of cancer. This loss hits us very hard…sweet "Blueberry" wasn’t just a rescue; he was a cornerstone of our story. A Zest for Life Anyone who has followed Tanzie for even a short time knows the iconic pair: Blue and Ice, the Bosnian huskies. Though we lost swe

10 Years of #savingbosnianstrays 🐾
Hi everpawdy! What a pawsitively special day here at Tanzie HQ…I may not be smiling like usual but it’s because I simply can’t pawlieve that today marks the 10th Anniversary of The Tanzie Project as a nonprofit! 🥂🎉 While my heart is bursting with pride, today is also bittersweet. I’m missing the ones who helped create this pawesome organization: my Grandparents (Odie and Maya’s human parents), big brother Benji, and big sissy Bella. They were the true backbone of this pawma

View/Download Even though we intentionally slowed down operations in 2022, we still helped #savebosnianstrays - all thanks to YOU! To give you a quick summary, in 2022, your donations helped us: Fund nearly $2,000 in food and veterinary care, including 25 Christmas “goodie boxes” for shelter dogs in

A “cavalier” reunion
Bosnian rescues Tanzie, Rex, and Bella had quite a meet-up at the University of Virginia (UVA) in October, 2022, after their mommies realized their connection extended beyond their love of dogs and link to Bosnia, but also to UVA! Nevena, mom to Rex (rescued in 2018 from Mostar), and Jelena, new mom to Bella (rescued in 2022, also from Mostar) are not just sisters - they’re identical twins! And, not only are they originally from Mostar just like their fur-babies, they are bot
